Fallic Meal Night!!!

Wow!! Sorry I haven't hit'chall up!! I've been soo busy with work and stressed -- I just couldn't eat almost!! No, I wasn't eating healthy!!

So tonight I chose to have the finest Hot Dogs - ironically, brand named "Johnsonville" !!! So, 12 inches later (okay, so I've downed 2 x 6 inches so far!), I'm about ready for my banana! Now, I voraciously consume my hot dogs - conveniently I got Johnsonville New Orleans Brand Andouille Recipe - Spicy Smoked Sausage!!! So funny because they went down SO Easy! Now, as you may see on the package, these are made in Wisconsin - home of Spice!

To compliment my Southern spice (I went for the Lou-Mex) I got some Jarritos (pronounced kinda like Harritos) Mandarin soda!!! It's TOTALLY naturally flavored. Well, not like totally totally, but like really cool totally!!!!

I had to run to a Kroger 45 minutes away to get these! I don't know why I couldn't go to the closer ones!!! Of course, I had to run back for some Heinz Tomato Ketchup (You know what town that's from!!! I almost janxed at the thought of the town!!!)

hold on, I'm still swooning!!!!!!!!!!!

So, I my mustard (yet another 45 minute trip to the store!!! Or, maybe it was that I had to run back so many times that it was 45 minutes-each way- just to get to the store 5 minutes away!!!) I can discriminate a good Mustard - and I discriminated all the way to the Bold Deli Flavor of French's (100% natural, of course - only wish it was Organic!!) Spicy Brown Mustard!!! I think it's interesting that mustard is so small on the label - it's like we know the yellow stuff in a condiment container is mustard!!! LOL!!! But look at that container shape on the French's Spicy Brown Mustard - matches with the Heinz Tomato Ketchup to compliment the THEMED MEAL FOR TONIGHT!!!!

I needed to add some potassium to my meal - now, going off an age old joke where my sister's AIM profile (LOL!!! AIM!!! I'm TOTALLY a google chat guy now!!!) -- but where my sister's AIM profile said that she loved potassium. My Best Friend sent her a message saying "Potassium = Banana = [fallus]"???? and she totally removed it THAT NIGHT!!!

Now, What I'm lacking is a little dessert. What would really compliment this meal would be the sweet, satisfaction of a cupcake to top off the meal. But cupcakes just aren't long enough!!! So, I'm proposing some Jenny Leigh Cupcakes!!! But not cupcakes -- Eclaire's!! What a proposal for her!!

Anyhow, total YUM! TONIGHT!!! After devising this THEMED MEAL!!! I can now officially call myself - Totally A Foodie!!! -- not the kind that goes out and eats at fancy restaurants -- not the kind like on Iron Chef -- but the kind that MAKES THEIR OWN!!! Here - check out what wikipedia says about it!: foodies want to learn everything about food, both the best and the ordinary, and about the science, industry, and personalities surrounding food.

So, I really totally am a Foodie. Thank you, and goodnight!!!!!

Wednesday Lunch!!!

Another Delicious Menulicious option for Lunch! Today was Taco Salad!! Notice the tantalizing assortment of salt, fiber and vegetables in today's Menulicious specialty!! Same as yesterday, this delicacy can be cooked all the same as in your own kitchen at home - only difference: No Preparation!! You simply walk up to the counter and say "Yes, Please!" and Voila! Lunch is served! Now, you could say "No, thank you!" but that would only be in response to requests for salsa on the side or Premium Quality Glenview Farms (Columbia, MD) Sour Cream y/n!!

So, as you see, presentation is up to the high standards of the Wahoo West Cafe, as usual - a level we've come to expect! Delicately placed in the insulating goodness of a standard styrofoam food protection device, the Taco Salad survived transport flawlessly - not a single broken chip!! Today, the meat is slightly softer than your average scruptious cheese - somewhere along the consistency of mozzarella - not quite feta, but not cheddar, either!! Clearly the Wahoo West Meal Caretakers worked very hard at delivering this homestyle (~medium heat if you were on a stovetop) freshly prepared savor!

So I must recommend the additional Texas Pete (Winston-Salem, NC -- fresh from the South!!)!! It comes conveniently packaged for single-salad use! Of course you wouldn't be able to get this quality at home - you'd have to a) buy a bottle of hot sauce, b) store it somewhere, c) reclose your package! How Frustrating!! But, why do all that work when you could rip it open, squirt out the contents, and toss the package in the trash?!?

So I have to give two scores for this meal! The first - 9 out of 10 for the preparer, who flawlessly prepared my salad - piling on rich toppings of tomato, cilantro-herb infused fresh vegetables and salsa. All over a warm bed of the finest meat and corn chips!

Next, I give an 8 out of 10 for the taste!! The fresh, crisp flavors were flavorfully expressed in a saucy aroma that just begged to be consumed!! And, best of all were the decadent layers of flavor that expressed themselves as I consumed this southwest-style delicacy!! First was the crunch of the corn chip, then the innate umami sensation of savory beef!! Finally, there's the topping of some spice, herb, and complete taste-bud-tantilization by the Texas Pete, Glenview Farms Sour Cream and Salsa!!!! Absolutely refreshing, yet allowing a sensory Cops-and-Robbers to play out in my taste buds! Highly recommended, and especially with such easy preparation, great presentation and solid, bold, yet refreshing taste!!

Top o' the Mornin!

Wow, what a splendid breakfast! Full of midwest-grainy goodness! I prepared my Branful raisin-filled deliciousness in skim milk (which would be infinitely better if it were skim in the lactose and not the delicious fat!). Aside from the milk, the sweet little raisins just pop in your mouth to release their gooey, yet awakening carbohydrate sweetness! Perhaps best, though - and I hope I don't date myself here - is the fiber from the bran flakes! Oh how 'Flake would be proud!

You probably are recognizing that bowl choice, and utensil are key to the most wholesome presentation! From the flawless cardboard box, I withdrew the well-wrapped Raisin Bran! I carefully poured it into a bowl -- I used a hand-me-down, presumably ceramic bowl! And what a presentation, to boot! I'm not sure where the hand me down came from, possibly "handed down" from an old roommate, if you know what I mean!! -- but more likely it's from my ever loving sister - great things happen when you marry off siblings!

Now, to describe the taste! Oh, you betcha this breakfast encompassed ALL the taste buds! First was the crunch of the bran flakes! How Wonderful! It reminded me of a walk in the woods with sticks creaking under my feet! Then, I continuted on to find some Sun-Dried!! Raisins -- lightly glazed with a small amount of sugar (for sweetness)! None of this would have been possible, of course, without my hand-me-down spoon!! (It's the kitchen version of HGTV's hidden treasures!) This spoon has passed through generations in my family - purchased by my grandmother initially, it has since jumped straight down to me!!

As you see, I did not pair my morning selection with any beverage, but generally I suggest orange juice in the morning! Of course if you can digest milk, this is also a morning option! But - for the Crazy Sue's out there, there's absolutely NOTHING like a Tequila Sunrise to get the day jump started in the right direction! A tequila sunrise would have added a great deal of flair to this meal! Despite my lack of drink, I give my breakfast 7 stars -- with points off only for the cardboard box (pictured - it wasn't sunny this morning despite the sun on the box!) and the rushed nature of my breakfast - with only 5 minutes to consume the entire meal!

And for all you deal seekers, Raisin Bran, of course, was on a good sale at Kroger last week!!

I just couldn't keep from writing about my dinner tonight!! Corn Flake prepared a splendid Marinated Chicken tonight!! The frozen Bertolli Meal paired excellently with the finest Pepsi Co. Mountain Dew!! (NOT diet!!) As with all the finest frozen foods, Bertoli meals were marked off $3 a couple weeks ago plus a coupon for an extra dollar off!! So the meal was basically half priced!! We bought a bunch!! (the meal wasn't stale one bit from those weeks in 'Flake's Freezer!!)

But I digress -- the presentation was what set the meal off, though -- you know that 'Flake, always one to just put the extra effort into Skillet Creations!! The blend of tupperware and aluminum can made for a salacious - if recyclable - presentation!! I give this meal 8 stars out of 10 - my only hesitation was the ability of the meal to stay warm the entire time I was eating it. For some reason if you eat this meal slowly it cools, making the last few bites less than piping hot!!

'Flake includes some very important cooking instructions, though - do NOT use the microwave instructions - then it tastes like crap!! Only use the skillet/stovetop directions, and be sure to stir constantly. No need for any extras (no adding Zing! or other flavorings!) with these frozen delicacies!!

I forgot to discuss my drink from lunch today - Cherry Coke!! The cherry flavor offset the apparent lack of fruit in my lunch, and made me really gather a completely pyramidal dining experience!! I give the lunch 7 stars -- points off for a slightly too sweet sauce, and noodles that were just a little too crunchy given the usual timbre of a Thai meal. Overall, though, highly recommended!!!!

See you all for Lunch Tomorrow!!!
